BΔLT Gift lets users create time-locked rBTC gifts on Rootstock, assign a beneficiary wallet, select a release date and generate a personalized Gift Card with a claim page and vault address.
A simple way to give Bitcoin for birthdays, graduations, holidays, future milestones or long-term savings — powered by smart contracts and a non-custodial claim flow.
What is
Gift?
BΔLT Gift is a Bitcoin gifting experience built on Rootstock. It allows a creator to lock rBTC inside a dedicated Gift Vault and define when the beneficiary can claim it.
Each gift has its own Gift Vault address. The creator selects a beneficiary wallet, deposits rBTC and shares a personalized Gift Card. The beneficiary can later connect their wallet and claim the gift once the release date has been reached.
Gift Card content such as title, message, occasion and QR is generated off-chain. The smart contract only manages the essential on-chain data: creator, beneficiary, amount, release date, status and claim logic.

A shareable card for a Bitcoin gift.
BΔLT Gift generates a personalized off-chain Gift Card containing the gift title, message, occasion, beneficiary wallet, Gift Vault address and a QR code pointing to the claim page.
The Gift Card can be downloaded as an image and shared with the beneficiary. The card itself does not store funds and does not control the smart contract. It is simply a user-friendly way to deliver the claim information.
Add a personal message for the beneficiary and choose the occasion.
Include a QR code that opens the BΔLT Gift Claim page.
Download the Gift Card as a shareable image.
Share the exact Gift Vault address needed to view and claim the gift.
The Gift Card is off-chain. The actual gift is controlled by the smart contract and the beneficiary wallet.
Designed as a simple Bitcoin-native gifting experience.
Each gift is created with its own Gift Vault address, making the gift easy to identify and share.
BΔLT Gift currently supports rBTC gifts on Rootstock, aligned with Bitcoin security and EVM-compatible tooling.
The smart contract prevents the beneficiary from claiming before the selected release date.
The creator can cancel the gift before the release date if the gift is still active and not yet claimable.
Only the wallet address registered as beneficiary can claim the gift after the release date.
Gift Vaults expose their current status: active, released or cancelled.
BΔLT Gift uses a simple and transparent commission model.
Gifts up to and including 0.01 rBTC have no BΔLT Gift commission.
Gifts above the free tier apply a flat 0.20% commission on the gross deposit amount.
The BΔLT Gift commission is capped at 0.05 rBTC, even for larger gifts.
Creating a Gift Vault, registering a gift, cancelling a gift or claiming a gift requires Rootstock network fees paid in rBTC by the wallet executing the transaction.
The on-chain layer keeps the gift logic minimal and transparent.
