BΔLT (Bitcoin Autonomous Legacy Trust) is a decentralized protocol that enables automated Bitcoin inheritance without intermediaries, using smart contracts on Rootstock.

If a predefined period of inactivity is reached (no transactions or wallet activity), your designated heir becomes eligible to manually claim the funds through our interface. BΔLT does not release funds automatically—only when the claim conditions are met and the heir initiates the process.

Before locking, your BTC is converted to RBTC via the PowPeg mechanism—a Bitcoin‑backed peg using specialized hardware (PowHSM) and federation nodes. RBTC holds a 1:1 parity with BTC. That RBTC is then locked in a Rootstock smart contract—never in custody of any third party—and only released when the programmed conditions are met.

Anyone can create a secure inheritance plan using Wallet Connect, Metamask, or Ledger, the process is simple, intuitive, and fully managed through our web interface.

No. BΔLT acts as a programmable on-chain testament. You may still use a traditional will, but it’s not required for BΔLT to function.

Inheritance configurations cannot be modified once deployed. However, you can cancel the existing plan at any time. The funds will return to your wallet, allowing you to create a new inheritance setup with updated heirs or conditions.
